Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Konnext ('we', 'us', or 'our') collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application ('App'). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as: name, email address, date of birth, gender, profile photos, location data, and identity verification documents. We also collect information automatically when you use the App, including device identifiers (including your device's advertising identifier — IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android — when you grant permission), usage data, log information, and technical data such as device model, operating system version, and IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information to: provide and improve the App, match you with other users, send push notifications, verify your identity, process payments, deliver and measure advertising (including rewarded ads in Live Match), prevent fraud and abuse, and communicate with you about the App.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers and partners who help us operate the App: cloud storage and database (Supabase), real-time video infrastructure (LiveKit), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging, OneSignal), analytics, payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play), advertising and ad measurement (Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform), and identity-verification providers. We may also share information if required by law or to protect the safety of users.
4. Location Data
We use your location to show relevant matches nearby. Location data is not stored long-term and is used only during active sessions to calculate proximity. You can disable location access at any time in your device's system settings; the matching feature will fall back to your last known city.
5. Advertising & Tracking
Konnext shows advertisements served by Google AdMob, including in-feed native ads in the community feed and rewarded ads in Live Match (PK Battle). On iOS, the first time you launch the App we ask for permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before any cross-app tracking identifier is read. If you decline, ads will still be shown but limited to non-personalized advertising. On Android, you can reset or opt out of personalized ads from your device's Google Settings → Ads. Premium subscribers do not see in-feed native ads. For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we obtain consent for personalized advertising through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form on first launch and let you change your choice at any time from the App's Settings.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage (AES-256 at rest), TLS 1.2+ for data in transit, hashed credentials, and Row-Level Security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at services@codeweb.co.th. You may also delete your account from within the App (Settings → Delete Account); deletion removes your profile and ends matches within 24 hours. Identity-verification documents are retained for fraud prevention for up to 90 days after deletion as legally required.
8. Live Match (PK Battle) — Recording and Moderation
Konnext records every Live Match room while the battle is active for the sole purpose of safety review. Recordings are stored on encrypted servers and automatically deleted after 48 hours unless a report is filed against participants in that room — in which case the recording is retained for up to 14 days for moderator review and then deleted. Real-time chat messages within Live Match rooms are ephemeral and deleted when the room ends. We use automated content-moderation systems (including Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch) to scan periodic camera frames for inappropriate content during Live Match. If a frame is flagged, the user may be removed from the room and the incident is queued for human review. By participating in a Live Match room (as host, challenger, or audience), you consent to this recording and automated moderation.
9. Children's Privacy and Age Requirement
Konnext is intended only for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete that information immediately.
